Essential responsibilities:

1. Develop practical and innovative ways to identify cost reduction opprtunities.
2. Be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
3. Project management skills, to be able to organize cross functional meeting, develop action plans and drive them to closure
4. Drive Value Engineering project / work out
5. Sound knowledde of Design
6. Knowledge of ASME, GD &T and ISO standards
7. Strong CAD background.
8. Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project.
9. Coordinate and control the activities performed by external resources related to the assigned job
10. Ensure issue of appropriate documentation ( specs, tooling documents/quality documents/ specification studies, BoMs).
11. Use of design tools (like 2D/ 3D CAD (Solid works /ProE/UG), Excel, and in-house design calc).

Qualifications / Requirements:

1. Bachelor in Mechanical / Elecrtical or equivalent background.
2. At least 3 additional years of experience in cost out projects
3. Experience in Value engineering and should cost analysis - Certified Value Engineer
4. Experience in Manufacturing set up in discrete manufacturing
5. Ability to work in teams and achieve targets.
6. Ability to work in a global environment.
7. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required
8. Sound knowledge of costing softwares - DFMA, Costimator etc.

4. An excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator and able to communicate and motivate via written media.
5. Manage R&D and NPD and new business development
6. Manage supplier & customer efficiently to complete project within time
7. Flexible to work on stretched time and should be able to travel with India / abroad as per business requirements
